The Bible reveals an important truth for those who are connected to Church – “planted in the House of the Lord, they will flourish” (Psalm 92:13). Families and individuals will always flourish when they are planted in God’s House. This requires more than occasional attendance, but rather a faithful connection to the life of the Church.
Engaging in the ministries, services, activities and events of the Church are vital to both growing in God and in a Church family.
We have a number of ministries in which you and your family can be actively engaged…
Men of Valor
Men of Valor is the Men’s Ministry of LWC. The word, “ valor ,” is defined as great courage in the face of danger. One of the keys to King David’s successful reign was the mighty men of valor with which he surrounded himself. These men kept him safe in times of trouble and sustained his success throughout his reign. Today, the battle still rages for the lives of men, their families and their futures. It is important for men to realize the need to be in association with other men of valor. Every home needs a Man of Valor and every Church needs Men of Valor.
Men of Valor meet regularly for a time of food, fellowship, encouragement and ministry. These meetings are casual, informal and are conducive for prayer and Bible study. Men of Valor also participate in various outings and men’s events.
God’s Divas is the Women’s Ministry of LWC. A “diva” is defined as a distinguished female. Godly Divas are different from those in the world. The scripture declares that a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. A godly woman is set apart by the godly virtues and nature she exhibits. These qualities distinguish her as a Diva in God’s eyes and in the eyes of others. God’s Divas stands for Divinely Inspired Victoriously Anointed Sisters. It is these qualities we seek to instill in the lives of women.
God’s Divas host regular meetings, brunches and activities that encourage fellowship and ministry among our women. The Divas also participate in various outings and women’s events.
Prime Timers is the Senior Adult Ministry of LWC. Prime Timers is a fellowship ministry that provides senior adults with the opportunity to encourage one another through love, fellowship and prayer. Senior adults are the pillars and foundations of the Church. It is important for them to be renewed and rejuvenated as they continue to follow God and enjoy the prime time of their lives.
Prime Timers meet for periodic dinner fellowships and outings.
