What to Expect

What to Expect

When you arrive for the first time at the Living Word Church campus, you can expect to be greeted by our friendly ushers and greeters. They will help direct you to the nearest entrance. As you enter the doors of the building, ushers will direct you to Connection Point where you will find information about our ministry, directed to the Main Auditorium for service or help you find the appropriate place for your children.

After dropping off your children or grabbing a cup of coffee in Connect Cafe, a countdown video will play a few minutes before service followed by a worship intro video or a greeting from one of our leaders. At this time, ushers will be happy to find a seat for you in the Auditorium as the service begins.

Our Sunday Worship Experience begins at 10am and concludes at approximately 11:45am. Our Worship Experience begins with a time of Praise and Worship followed by an opportunity to meet and greet other Church members. At this point in the service, we share announcements with the congregation regarding upcoming services and events and receive our weekly tithes and offerings. During the rest of the service, you will hear an awesome message from Pastor Brad or Pastor Jerry Sullivan. At the conclusion of the service, you are welcome to visit Connection Point to find out more about our ministry and request a CD of the Sunday’s message for free.

We are excited that you are interested in checking us out and we hope to see you soon!

We have a place for your children at Living Word from infant to school age. Our Kids Zone Children’s Ministry offers Nursery Care for Ages 0-2, Toddlers Class for Ages 3-5 and Children’s Church for Ages 6-11. We also offer a Nursing Mother’s Room that provides moms with privacy and the opportunity to hear the message.

Every child is checked-in with a Children’s Ministry attendant. We have a safe and secure system in place to ensure your child(ren) is safe during the service and pick up. You will receive a security tag to keep during the service and to present to the classroom teacher after the service for pick up. If we need to reach you during the service, your security tag number will appear on the screen in the auditorium to alert you.

Kids Zone Children’s Ministry is dedicated to Keeping Kids on a Kingdom Target. Our program offers them an interactive Children’s Church experience with Bible lessons, activities, crafts, games and snacks. Our objective is to see children “increase in wisdom, stature and favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52).

Rooted Student Ministry is for students Ages 12 and up. The goal of our youth ministry is to see young people “rooted and grounded in Christ.” Youth Service is held each Wednesday evening at 6:30pm and a Youth Discipleship Class is held each Sunday during the Service.

The following are answers to some frequently asked questions we hope will make the process smooth for you and your family…

Will I understand the message, even if I don’t know much about the Bible?

Absolutely! Our messages are delivered in such a way as to be applicable and practical to anyone, no matter if you’ve never even heard of Jesus or if you’ve been serving the Lord for many years!

What if I come from a different faith background?

Our philosophy is that you don’t have to believe to belong. Living Word Church is an inter-denominational church and our members have come from numerous different faith backgrounds. No matter what your background or history, you can come and join with us as we worship Jesus together.

Do I have to dress up?

Not at all. Come however you’ll be most comfortable. Around here, you’re more likely to see someone in comfortable clothes rather than a suit (but we have both), so just be yourself.

What style of music do you use for worship?

Here you’ll encounter a variety of worship music styles each week that you can relate to and that reflects current culture. The worship team and band lead attenders in upbeat songs of celebration as well as intimate worship expressions to God. Song lyrics are projected on the screen so you can follow along and engage in worship.

Movie clips, drama, and videos in church?

The message of Jesus is sacred. The methods used to deliver and communicate that message are not. We use movie clips, props, and other creative approaches to communicate the Gospel message in a relevant fashion to our culture.

Are you going to hit me up for money?

Giving is an expression of personal devotion and worship to God. We will never pressure you to give. We do believe in the Biblical principles of Tithes and Offerings and in God’s will to bless His people. We give our regular attendees an opportunity to give each week. We also take the time to encourage the faith of those giving by communicating the value of honoring God with our resources.

What if I’m not even sure I believe in God?

That’s no problem. You can join us, ask questions, experience God and make some new friends along the way. Every person who currently follows Christ had to start out with making a decision to believe what He said, so every one of us have been in your shoes. Come and let us walk with you in your journey.

How do I get involved?

Attending Sunday services is a good start, but we hope you’ll move beyond being just part of the weekend crowd. You can further your faith by meeting people, learning more about life as a Christ-follower and by serving in an area of your interest and gifting.

How can I learn more about Church?

This website is filled with resources to help you learn more about Living Word Church. You can access our Statement of Beliefs, meet our Pastors, check out our upcoming events and more. You can also e-mail us with questions not answered here.
